Adaption

Adaptation refers to how people adjust to changes in their social, cultural, and economic environments. This can include changes in the way we work, learn, communicate, and live. It can refer to peoples behavioral, social, or cultural adaptations.

Innovation

Innovation is the process of creating new or improved products, services, processes, or ideas that provide value to individuals, businesses, or society. It involves introducing something new or different that is useful or beneficial in some way.

Resillience

Resilience refers to the ability to adapt and recover in the face of adversity, stress, or trauma. It is the capacity to withstand and bounce back from difficult experiences, and to maintain a sense of well-being and a positive outlook on life.

At the end of 2022 Grown That Way part of our sister organisation Battling On, was awarded a grant from the Coop Innovation Fund. Part of a £1.4m of grants delivered in June 2022 to help partners tackle carbon emissions in food and farming. Experimenting with both old and new types of horticulture at Battling On’s Grown That Way experimental garden, in partnership with the University of Plymouth. The experimental garden will become a learning centre for local growers, communities and interested parties who are interested in trialling and understanding more about alternative growing methods.
