Hydroponics out for delivery

With the onset on the autumn term, it has been a busy summer of growing, showing and generally plant based activities. As you will know part of our research project with The Coop Foundation is researching growing technology within in community settings. Merryhues market garden will play host to ultra-modern hydroponic system later this year.

Developed with support from The University of Plymouth our new system will enable us to train local people in the art of protected growing.  We had planned to have this operational earlier in the year but like all of us we have been affected by the energy and financial shocks the world has come to deal with over the past year.

Finally, earlier in the summer we were able to agree the manufacture of our system as of the 1st of October the system has started to arrive which is hugely exciting. More info to come and as the story unfolds.
